Trips – Take a Trip from Vrsar to Discover the Wonders of Istria

Owing to the excellent roads connecting Istrian towns and the organisation of diverse programmes, Vrsar can be a starting point for all directions.

If you choose to travel south, go towards the medieval town of Bale, pass through Vodnjan, the place of world-famous olive oils, to reach Pula where you can visit Pula, the city of the best preserved ancient Roman monument – Arena, an amphitheatre dating from the 1st century.

Should you choose to go east, to visit inland Istria, you will come to Pazin, the centre of Istria. While there, research what links the Castle of Pazin and the famous writer Jules Verne.

From Vrsar you can also turn north and have a stop in Poreč to discover the beauty of this town of mosaics and the Euphrasian Basilica entered on the UNESCO List. Only a 10 km away, near the town of Nova Vas, is the BaredineCave, a haven of rich underground worlds.

The west direction will take you on the sea routes to Brijuni Islands or Venice. But from Vrsar you can take one more direction – up to the sky! Your adrenaline level will be pumped up at the nearby Vrsar Airport which organises panoramic flights over Vrsar, its islets and the Lim Bay offering breathtaking  views.
