Events – Adriatic Town of a Vibrant Pulse

Through a rich repertoire of events from spring to late fall, and in winter as well, Vrsar unveils its dynamic appearance, filled with entertaining, musical, and cultural festivals.

The town abounds in sports tournaments and games. You can often hear live music coming from its summer terraces, while the notable events contribute to the cheerful pulse of this Adriatic town.

Vrsar Fishermen festivals celebrate the local fishing tradition. Besides enjoying fish specialities, you can also enjoy the folk group performances and pop music concerts during the evening. In high season, there can be a couple of thousand visitors having fun on the seafront promenade.

A series of concerts in St. Martin’s church is dedicated to classical and spiritual music, while The Sea and Guitars Festival explores the possibilities of classical guitar and brings together excellent musicians from all around the world.

In June you can’t miss Casanovafest, a few days celebrating love and erotica. The festival is based upon the notes found in the memoirs of Giacomo Casanova, a vagabond who, in the mid-18th century, visited Vrsar on two occasions. The festival also presents exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, and a selection of aphrodisiac foods.

Vrsar is shaking to the rhythm of jazz, blues and rock during Montraker Live Festival, a big music open air event on the Montraker peninsula, at the foot of the hill on which the old town lies.
