Istrian Riviera of Tennis Spectacle

Vrsar is a traditional host to Istrian Riviera, the tennis spectacle which is, as part of the ITF Futures tournaments, also played in 3 other Istrian towns: Rovinj, Poreč, and Umag. It has been one of the longest running Croatian tournaments of international tradition with more than 40 years of existence.

Vrsar tennis courts, designed and constructed according to high sports standards, host young promising tennis players who compete here to get precious points and make progress in the ATP rankings. Year by year, the tournament has gained more recognition and attracted more and more visitors, while the fierce international competition motivates the players to get top results. All the tournament participants play for an alluring prize money award of 10,000 US dollars.

Many world top players such as Goran Ivanišević, Boris Becker, Thomas Muster, Ivan Ljubičić, and many others, played Istrian Riviera while young and at the beginning of their careers, and it was right in Vrsar, in Istria, where they earned their first ATP points.

The Istrian Riviera series of tennis tournaments is part of the high ranked ITF Futures tournaments organized by the International Tennis Federation, and Vrsar, an already well-experienced host, plays a prominent role of a town of new tennis excitements.
