According to new waste management system the waste can be disposed in tanks within one’s possession or by means of a magnetic card for semi-built-in tanks.
The waste from all settlements in the Municipality of Vrsar-Orsera is collected on Fridays - mixed municipal waste every Friday, and other fractions of municipal waste (plastic, paper) on Fridays according to the submitted schedule.
Green waste (residues after pruning hedges, palm trees, other plants…) should be disposed of in designated bags that can be picked up in the premises of the Municipality of Vrsar-Orsera. Filled bags should be left on the doorstep on Thursdays. On Fridays morning, after calling the phone number printed on the bag, they will be taken away and disposed of at the compost plants.
In the year 2020 the Gradina recycling yard at the address Gradina12c was put into use, where inhabitants and all persons who have a permanent or temporary residence or own real estate in the municipality of Vrsar-Orsera are allowed to dispose household waste in an adequate, legally prescribed way.
The recycling yard is open 6 days a week (except Sunday) and accessible to everyone directly from the local Gradina-Marasi road.
The working hours of the recycling yard are:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-15:00.
- Wednesday 10:00 - 17:00 h (in the period 01.05.-30.09. working hours are 12:00 - 19:00 h)
- Saturday 8:00 - 13:00 h.
The recycling yard is closed on Sundays and holidays.
In the recycling yard inhabitants can dispose large quantities of paper, cardboard and plastic, metal objects, textiles, larger plastic objects, boards, glass, ceramics, all types of batteries, packaging containing various chemicals, residues of paints and varnishes, containers under pressure (sprays), electrical and electronic waste, small household appliances, furniture and mattresses (up to 3 m3 per year)…, and up to 400 kg of construction waste per year.
The implemented waste collection and disposal system enables each person to easily and quickly dispose of household waste. Therefore, there is no justification for dumping waste in public areas, forest roads, forests, meadows…
In the case of a known polluter of nature and public areas, these polluters will be fined 900,00-5.000,00 kn and the surface will be cleaned at their own expense.
