Tourist Board of Vrsar Partner in the European Erasmus+ Project GREEN TOUR

The Tourist Board of Vrsar has become a partner in the Erasmus+ project GREEN TOUR – Green Skills for Sustainable Tourism, a three-year European initiative aimed at developing green skills in tourism and strengthening destination capacity for sustainable development.

Participation in this consortium is especially significant because such projects typically involve universities, innovation centres, and national or regional institutions, while the participation of local tourist boards is rare. The inclusion of TZ Vrsar acknowledges the destination’s long-term commitment to sustainable development, heritage interpretation, and community collaboration.

The GREEN TOUR project will run for three years and officially began on 17 November 2025 at the first partner meeting held in Brussels. Dr. Klara Trošt Lesić, Director of TZ Vrsar, participated as the representative of Vrsar.

Why is Vrsar part of the GREEN TOUR project?

The project highlighted that Vrsar brings:

- authentic field experience of a small destination

- examples of sustainable tourism solutions
