Sea bloom is a natural phenomenon that occurs under certain weather conditions. What looks like pollution on the surface of the sea is actually the product of the rapid reproduction of green algae or dinoflagellates. Some of the factors that affect the flowering of the sea are changes in sea temperature and higher rainfall.
An expert from the Center for Marine Research at the Ruđer Bošković Institute points out that it is a cluster of single-celled algae. They're not dangerous or poisonous, but it's an organic material that decomposes to form an odor.
