Free educational nature walks in the forest Kontija

Starting point: Kloštar, in front of the abbey of St. Mihovil (St. Michael)

Possibility of car parking in Kloštar and bicycles parking with your own padlock next to the restaurant "Patricija" in Kloštar.

Educational walks will take place on an easy path without obstacles,  suitable for all ages. The walk will be for about an hour and thirty minutes long and is limited to 15 participants. The starting and ending point of this circular guided tour is the monastery of St. Mihovil in Kloštar, not far from which it is possible to park cars and securely tie bicycles in the designated places next to the restaurant "Patricija" in Kloštar (bring your padlocks). Walks in English will take place on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 9:00 am, while Thursday afternoons starting at 6:30 pm are reserved for walks in Croatian. Do not miss this unique opportunity to experience the richness of the flora and fauna of the magical forest of Kontija and relax within the beautiful nature of this protected area.

Educational walks are carried out within the project "KLIM Kontija - Lim Bay - Sustainable Management of Protected Areas" implemented by the Municipality of Vrsar as a leading partner, in cooperation with the County of Istria and the Public Institution Natura Histrica, and funded under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion for an implementation period from August 2018 to December 2021.
