Poreč Swimming and Sports Recreation Club is organizing for the 22nd time the Croatian Championship swimming marathon “Limski kanal”, a 5 km event, taking place on August 9, 2025, in Lim Bay.
Schedule – Saturday, 9 August 2025
Registration and bib pick‑up for the main race: 08:30 – 09:30
Main race start (5000 m): 10:00
Awards ceremony: 13:30
Location: Lim Bay, start and finish at the rowing pontoon by the marina. The course runs to the CROMARIS pier, then four laps, and returns to the pontoon.
Recreational Race – 1500 m
A shorter recreational swim of 1500 m is held alongside the main marathon:
Recreational race start: 09:30
On‑site registration: 08:00 – 09:00
Entry fee: €10, payable on site
Open to all swimmers with a valid medical certificate (not older than 6 months)
Recreational participants are not eligible for Croatian Championship or CRO CUP ranking

Cadets (12–13 years)
Younger Juniors (14–15 years)
Juniors (16–17 years)
CRO CUP categories according to CRO CUP regulations
Eligibility – 5000 m
Croatian Championship: licensed swimmers registered with HSDP, Croatian citizens
CRO CUP: licensed or registered swimmers and individual entrants with valid medical certificate (≤ 6 months old)
Only licensed/registered swimmers are ranked in Championship and CRO CUP results

HSDP medals for top three in each Championship category
Organizer’s medals for top three in each CRO CUP category
Cash prizes per CRO CUP schedule
Participation T‑shirt and meal for all swimmers
