The Museum of Distillation is located in the heart of Vrsar's Old Town at Pod zidom 3.
This intimate museum invites visitors to discover Istria's rich distilling heritage through a unique collection of antique copper stills, wooden presses, barrels and many other tools once used in the production of spirits.
The exhibition panels guide visitors through the history of Vrsar and Istria, explaining the important role alcohol played in everyday life over the centuries. A special section is dedicated to the fascinating story of alcohol smuggling, which remained part of local life for centuries and still lives on today through legends passed down across the Istrian countryside.
At the entrance to the museum, visitors will find a tasting room where they can sample and purchase Cain&Abel spirits. The tasting room can also be visited independently, although many guests enjoy pairing the tasting with a tour of the museum for a complete experience.
