September in Vrsar begins with the Montraker- International Sculpture School , an open-air sculpture school that transforms the old quarry into a space for contemporary creativity each year. Photographers will also have the opportunity to take part in the programme through the Montraker Photo Contest. Throughout September, on selected dates, visitors can also explore the Fair of Istrian Agricultural Products, offering the chance to taste and purchase locally produced goods.
The final Casanova tour of the season takes visitors through Vrsar’s history, combining interpretation with fascinating stories and a touch of humour. There will be one more opportunity to enjoy local fish specialities by the sea, accompanied by music, at this year’s final Fishermen’s Festival.
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the Lim Bay Challenge adventure race is on the programme, while yoga sessions will be held on the beach on selected dates throughout September, offering a more peaceful way to enjoy the month.
At the very beginning of autumn, the programme’s special highlight is Dan amareta - The Day of Amaretti, taking place on 27 September and dedicated to Vrsar’s distinctive traditional pastry. Tastings, workshops, presentations by local producers and a special entertainment programme will take centre stage at the event.
