The Community of Italians of Vrsar – Orsera / Comunità degli Italiani Vrsar – Orsera is organising a concert by Coro Voci del Dese from Piombino Dese, province of Padua on Sunday, 20 September at 12 a.m. on Degrassi Square, Vrsar.
The choir was founded in 2015 by singers with diverse backgrounds and musical interests. From the outset, its work has focused on developing choral singing as an artistic discipline, as well as a means of meeting and getting to know one another.
Its repertoire includes both composed and traditional music from different genres, with a particular focus on choral arrangements of popular songs prepared by the choir's conductor, Maestro Matteo Del Negro.
In recent years, meetings with Italian communities in Istria and Dalmatia have become an important part of the choir's activities. Coro Voci del Dese has performed and collaborated with Italian communities in Zadar, Vodnjan, Buje, Umag, Labin, Rovinj, Višnjan and Vrsar.
The choir's return to Vrsar continues these encounters and provides an opportunity for another shared musical programme.
