A celebration of music and community brings choirs from across Europe to Vrsar in one unique performance
FAKS – The Festival of Amateur Cultural Creativity is an international event combining culture, education, and entertainment, built on the principles of lifelong learning and a passion for amateur singing. The FAKS Sings segment brings together choirs from Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia to perform for four days at some of the most beautiful locations across Rovinj, Vrsar, and Pazin.
The festival is non-competitive and focuses on friendship, collaboration, and cultural exchange between local and international performers and audiences. It offers singers the opportunity to gain performance experience, enjoy the stunning Istrian region, and share their talent with a broad public.
In Vrsar, concerts will take place only on one day, marking the festival openings at the Church of St. Mary of the Sea:
May 7, 2026, at 8:00 PM - 2nd edition of the festival
Admission is free. Visitors will experience the unique atmosphere of the festival and enjoy performances by international choirs in the enchanting setting of Vrsar.
FAKS Sings stands out for connecting local and international performers, celebrating amateur art, and creating unforgettable experiences for both singers and audiences. It inspires new generations of singers and showcases choral music at its finest in Istria.
