Folklore Evening on the Waterfront

Dates

02 Aug26

The Tourist Board invites all visitors and lovers of traditional culture to a Folklore Evening, taking place on Sunday, 2 August 2026, on the Vrsar Waterfront (Riva), starting at 8:00 PM.

The evening will feature a performance by the "Slavko Janković" Cultural and Artistic Society from Rokovci–Andrijaševci, a renowned folklore ensemble dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Slavonia region through authentic traditional dances, songs and beautifully crafted folk costumes.

Joining the guests from Slavonia, the "Mate Balota" Cultural and Artistic Society from Rakalj will perform as the local Istrian host ensemble. Founded in 1996, the society brings together around seventy dancers, musicians and singers of all ages—from preschool children and school pupils to university students—and proudly preserves and showcases the rich folklore heritage of Istria.

Visitors will enjoy a vibrant programme showcasing the customs, music and folklore of eastern Croatia.

Join us for a delightful summer evening celebrating Croatia's rich cultural heritage through music, dance and tradition in the beautiful setting of the Vrsar waterfront.
