Saline Spors Hall (Small hall), Vrsar
Stress is part of everyday life. The difficulty is often not stress itself, but how we respond to it and how long we remain in a state of tension.
The two-hour Anti-stress Yoga Workshop will focus on simple techniques that can be used when thoughts begin to race, the body feels tense, or it becomes difficult to slow down.
The workshop will begin with a short writing exercise to clear the mind and create some space from the thoughts and concerns of the day. This will be followed by breathing exercises aimed at calming the nervous system, and then by a gentle yoga practice with poses selected to help release physical tension.
The final part of the workshop will be a longer guided meditation in a lying position. With a pillow and blanket, this closing practice is designed to allow the body and mind to gradually settle into deeper relaxation.
The workshop is open to all levels and no previous yoga experience is required. The techniques introduced during the session are simple enough to be incorporated into everyday life whenever a moment of pause is needed.
